The Asian Trip — Authentic Travel Experiences

Why travel with us

Far from home, in safe hands

Booking a journey across India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka or the Maldives means trusting people you haven't met yet. Here is — plainly, without marketing gloss — why travellers have placed that trust in us since 2008.

Safe & seamless travel

Our own team on the ground, around the clock

The Asian Trip is not a reseller that passes your booking to an anonymous local agency. We grew out of Quality India Tours, founded in New Delhi in 2008 — the people who plan your trip are the same people who run it on the ground.

From the day you land to the day you fly home, you carry a 24/7 number for our Delhi office — answered by someone who knows your itinerary, in your time zone, by phone or WhatsApp. Our drivers and guides carry the same emergency line, so help is never more than one call away.

In New Delhi since 2008

Our head office is in New Delhi — not a call centre on another continent. When something needs fixing, we fix it locally, the same day.

24/7 during your trip

A round-the-clock line for every day of your trip — by phone or WhatsApp — on top of regular office hours in both IST and CET.

People we've known for years

Every guide and driver is personally known to us — many for over a decade — and each of them carries our emergency number too.

You don't pay until the itinerary is right

Planning with us costs nothing. We send a draft itinerary within 24–48 hours, refine it together for as long as it takes — and only when you're happy does a deposit (typically 25%) confirm the trip, with the balance due 30–60 days before departure.

You can pay via PayPal, by Visa card, or by transfer to a German bank account — so our European guests can pay within Germany rather than wiring money overseas to an account they've never heard of. Your cancellation terms are set out in writing at the time of booking.

Plan first, pay later

Inquiry, draft and every revision are free. Nothing is due until you've approved the itinerary and the price.

Pay the way you prefer

PayPal, Visa card, or a transfer to a German bank account — whichever you're most comfortable with.

Terms in writing

Deposit, balance and a graded cancellation scale are confirmed in writing before you commit to anything.

Hand-picked quality

The same guides, drivers and hotels — for over a decade

We don't work from supplier catalogues. Our guides grew up in the regions they show you, and we've worked with the same drivers and hoteliers for over a decade — long enough to know exactly who is driving you, and which rooms to ask for.

We take no commission from hotels and have no sales targets. What we recommend is what we'd book ourselves — and we'll tell you honestly when a destination is overrated, or when the season isn't worth the trip.

Real hospitality

You're a guest, not a booking number

The Asian Trip is founder-led by two brothers, Anil and Neetesh, who built Quality India Tours in New Delhi in 2008. Anil grew up in a village in Central India and travels to Europe every year, so he knows exactly what his guests hope for; Neetesh studied German at the Goethe-Institut and spent more than eight years guiding travellers across India.

That shapes how you're treated: as a guest, in the Indian sense of the word. You'll usually speak directly with the person designing your trip — no call centres, no middlemen — and our Berlin office handles all German-language correspondence.

Flexibility

Adjusted until the day you fly

Every itinerary on our site is a starting point, not a package. We adjust pace, route, hotels and activities until the plan fits the people travelling — and we keep adjusting after you book, right up to departure.

Plans change; we expect that. There may be small re-issue costs for flights or train tickets, but we never charge a re-design fee. And once you're travelling, the 24/7 line means a day can still be reshaped when you want it to be.

Still have questions?

Ask us anything — or tell us roughly when, who's travelling and what you'd like to see. We'll come back with a draft itinerary within 24–48 hours, and you won't pay a thing until it's right.
