The Asian Trip was started by two friends — one based abroad, one on the ground in South Asia — who'd spent years rebuilding the same trips for friends who weren't getting what they wanted from the big tour operators. 15+ years on, we still design every itinerary by hand.

Built from scratch
Every itinerary is hand-designed for the people travelling. We use our published trips as starting points, not as packages.
Locally based
Our office is in New Delhi. Our guides grew up in the regions they show you. We've worked with the same drivers and hoteliers for over a decade.
Honest, not salesy
We don't take commission from hotels. We'll tell you when a destination is overrated, when the weather isn't worth the trip, and when a quieter alternative is better.
Our story
Two brothers, one company
"We'd been organising trips for friends for years before we made it our work — and the pattern never changed: people came home saying it was the trip of their lives. So in 2008 we founded Quality India Tours in New Delhi, and The Asian Trip grew out of it as the way we welcome travellers from around the world."

Anil
Co-founder · New Delhi
Anil co-founded Quality India Tours — The Asian Trip's parent company — with his brother Neetesh in New Delhi in 2008, and has spent the years since turning it into a window onto the many sides of his country. He treats every visitor as a guest, weaving in warm hospitality, real insight and plenty of humour. Born in a small village in Central India, he knows rural life first-hand and gives travellers a perspective most never reach. Anil travels to Europe every year, so he understands exactly what his guests are hoping for — and builds it into every itinerary, pairing the well-known highlights with an India few tourists see.
Neetesh
Co-founder · New Delhi
Neetesh holds a degree in sociology and a master's in German studies from the Goethe-Institut in Pune. For more than eight years he guided travellers — mostly German-speaking groups — the length of India, so few people know its finest routes, most characterful hotels and most rewarding experiences better. He has run Quality India Tours with his brother Anil since 2008, designing cultural journeys through India's great treasures alongside trekking, safaris, and horseback, cycling and motorbike adventures across India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Every trip is shaped in close conversation with you — and his own joy is finding new trails and hidden places to share.
