Our story
Two brothers, one company
built on Indian hospitality.
The Asian Trip is the international arm of Quality India Tours, founded in New Delhi in 2008 by brothers Anil and Neetesh. One grew up in a village in Central India; the other spent years guiding travellers across the country. Together they still design every journey by hand.
So they made it their work. Today the team designs every itinerary by hand, with a network of guides, drivers and small hoteliers across India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. When you book, you talk to a human — not a call centre.

Are your trips fully customised?+
Yes. Every itinerary is built around what you actually want — pace, accommodation level, interests, age range. We use our published trips as starting points, not as packages.
When is the best time to travel in South Asia?+
Broadly: October to March for India and Sri Lanka, March to May and September to November for Nepal and Bhutan, year-round for the Maldives. We'll match your trip to the right window for your destinations and interests.
What kind of accommodation do you use?+
Heritage palaces, boutique hotels, family-run guesthouses, and a small number of luxury properties when they truly add to the trip. We avoid generic chains and never accept commission, so what we recommend is what we'd book ourselves.
How tailor-made is tailor-made?+
If you'd rather skip the markets and spend an extra day in a tea garden, we'll do that. If you want to add a cooking class in Jaipur or a private yoga session in Rishikesh, we'll do that too. The only thing we won't do is rush you.
Are your trips suitable for families?+
Yes — we run a lot of multigenerational trips. We'll match the pace, build in downtime, pick rooms that work for kids, and brief our guides on what to expect.
How does booking work?+
Send us a quick inquiry. Within 24–48 hours we'll come back with a draft itinerary and price. We refine it together until it's right, then you confirm. No payment until you're happy with the plan.
Are you really locally based?+
Yes. We run from a regional office on the ground in South Asia, with a sister office abroad. Our co-founders have been running trips here for 15+ years. When you call, one of us picks up.
